Montreal, Quebec – February 18, 2026 — NiobiumX Corp. (“NiobiumX” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the commencement of a high-resolution airborne geophysical survey across its niobium exploration project in Quebec.
The survey is designed to identify geological structures and potential carbonatite targets associated with niobium mineralization. Carbonatite complexes are the primary host rocks for the majority of the world’s niobium deposits.
The airborne program will utilize advanced magnetic and radiometric technologies to map subsurface features that may indicate the presence of alkaline intrusive systems.
“This geophysical survey represents an important step in advancing our exploration strategy,” said Kirby Smith, CEO of NiobiumX. “Our objective is to systematically identify and prioritize targets that could host significant niobium mineralization within this highly prospective district.”
The survey will cover key areas of NiobiumX’s land package and will generate a comprehensive dataset to support the Company’s geological modeling and target generation efforts.
Once completed, the results will be integrated with historical data, geological mapping, and geochemical sampling to refine exploration targets.
NiobiumX believes that combining modern geophysics with detailed geological analysis significantly increases the probability of identifying previously unrecognized mineral systems.
Niobium is classified as a strategic critical mineral due to its role in strengthening steel and enabling advanced materials used in infrastructure, transportation, energy systems, and aerospace technologies.
Global niobium supply is currently dominated by a small number of producing operations, creating a significant opportunity for new discoveries in stable jurisdictions such as Canada.
NiobiumX’s exploration strategy is focused on identifying new sources of niobium that could contribute to future supply chains for critical minerals.
Following the completion of the airborne survey, the Company plans to:
• Interpret geophysical data and generate priority exploration targets
• Conduct follow-up geological mapping and surface sampling
• Initiate ground geophysics over high-priority zones
• Prepare targets for potential diamond drilling
NiobiumX is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on discovering and developing niobium resources. The Company’s projects are located in Quebec, one of the world’s most established mining jurisdictions and home to the producing Niobec niobium mine.
NiobiumX is building a dynamic exploration platform dedicated to securing future supply of this critical metal.
